About Us

“FARMACIAS MUNICIPALES SOLIDARIAS FARMASOL” was founded in May 2004,

as a social project with the purpose of selling medicines, nutritional supplements, care

and personal items at social prices. On June 25, 2010, the “Ilustre Concejo Cantonal de Cuenca”

issue the Municipal Ordenance for the “Constitution, Organization and functionality of

Public enterprise “ Farmacias Municipales solidarias, FARMASOL EP.”

The company has consolidated itself, with a good presence in the region, it has 32 pharmacies within the urban and country sides of Cuenca, and also in Gualaceo and Azogues, solving the needs of priority attention groups of all social sectors.

An excellent work, thanks to an extraordinary human staff and a quality service, these benefits reach 156.000 citizens per month.

Our mission

Contribute to helping the local population and those that need priority attention improve their quality of life through access to medication, personal hygiene products, and other complementary health products at a reasonable cost with personal and friendly service.

To be a chain of pharmacies with a regional presence that is recognized for its leadership in offering reasonable prices for complementary health products and services, while focusing on sustainable development, both independently and as part of the larger network.
